The talk at Best Practices for Ministry Conference was personal and firmly anchored to the conference theme, “You Are Not Alone.” Pat risked being a bit vulnerable as he reflected on what was perhaps the loneliest and most difficult time in his life.

Many have asked how they can make positive change in the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS), especially as it pertains to pursuing racial justice and fostering multiethnic church and school cultures. One way we all can take action now: help our congregations participate in the nomination process for the next LCMS President by THE DEADLINE of FEBRUARY 28.We've invited candidates seeking nomination for LCMS offices to participate in conversations with the LRJ community, so hopefully, this will be the first of several town halls.
